Flower Mound is one of our two stores that is not inside a supermarket. You will find us at 1400 Long Prairie Road, suite 110, in the Oakridge at Flower Mound shopping centre — a street-front unit you can drive straight up to, with free parking at the door.

Because it is a dedicated store rather than a booth, there is room for full-size displays. Plantation shutters can be opened and closed on a real frame, motorized shades can be run from a remote, and wide fabric books for curtains, roman shades and valances stay open on the table while you compare. Roller shades, zebra shades, honeycomb or cellular shades, wood and faux wood blinds, blackout shades, and the outdoor line of motorized patio screens, solar sun screens, sunrooms and louvered pergolas are all shown or sampled here.

What are plantation shutters, and which material should I choose?

Plantation shutters are hinged panels with wide louvers that open and close, fitted to the window frame rather than hung above it. We make them in wood, poly and stained wood. Poly handles damp rooms such as bathrooms, kitchens and laundries without warping; real wood is lighter for very large panels and takes a stain that matches existing trim. The store has a working frame you can open and close before deciding.
