Roller shades are the simplest treatment there is, so the fabric choice carries most of the weight. This Prosper home had three rooms asking for three different things, and we answered with the same product in three fabrics.
The study has a window that puts direct afternoon light onto a desk and a screen. It received Acorn in charcoal, a dark light-filtering fabric. With the shade down the glare is gone and the screen is readable. With it up, the window is fully open again with nothing left in the way.
The breakfast nook is the opposite case. Nobody wants a dark kitchen corner in the morning, so the two windows there got Carolyn in ivory, a light-filtering fabric that takes the edge off the sun while keeping the room bright. The ivory sits quietly against the trim and does not compete with the space.
The bedroom with three side-by-side windows received Greenville blackout roller shades, sized to each opening so the three read as one clean line across the wall. Ten shades in all, three of them motorized, measured on site and installed in a single visit in January 2026.
The house ended up with one product family throughout, so every room works the same way, and each room got the light control it needed.
