A newly settled McKinney home with a loft that doubles as a workout space, a master bedroom with three windows in a row, and a secondary bedroom being used as an office. The owner wanted the same kind of shade throughout, in a color matched to each room, and did not want one color for the whole house.

Zebra shades were the product, and we chose the fabric room by room. The loft received Maumee in white to match its bright trim, since that is a daytime room where light is welcome. The master bedroom got Maumee in ivory, a shade warmer, on all three windows so they read as a set. Three of the shades in this house are motorized, so the bedroom windows can be raised and lowered together from a remote without reaching behind the furniture.

The office bedroom received Ellis in beige, a slightly deeper tone that takes the edge off the sun on a desk and screen while keeping the room usable through the day.

Nine windows in all, measured on site and installed in a single visit in February 2026. Three colors from two fabrics, each one chosen to sit against its own wall without making a statement across the house.
