Sunscreen fabric solves a specific problem: rooms that get too much sun where the owner does not want to lose the view. This Allen home had that problem in the living room, where a pair of windows behind the sofa took the afternoon light straight onto the seating, and in a hallway window that turned the corridor into a hot spot for hours.
A one-percent sunscreen is a tightly woven mesh. From inside, you still see the yard and the sky through it, but the glare and most of the heat are taken out before they reach the room.
