A bedroom with personality already in it: patterned drapery panels on the windows and a bright quilt on the bed. The bare glass behind the drapes was the problem. The panels were decorative and did not close fully, so the room had no real way to block the morning light or to give privacy at night without pulling curtains that were never meant to be pulled.
The owner needed a shade that could sit inside the window frame behind the drapery and carry enough color of its own to look deliberate next to the existing textiles. Moving in navy does that. It is a textured fabric with real depth to its blue, dark enough to make the room comfortable for sleep and strong enough to hold its own alongside the drapes and the quilt.
Two of the four windows are behind the bed and awkward to reach, so those two were motorized. A remote raises and lowers them together, which means the owner does not have to lean over the headboard every morning and evening, and the pair always stops at the same height.
Four shades, measured and installed in a single visit in February 2026. The drapery still frames the room the way the owner wanted, and the shades now do the job the drapery could not.
